A KV-85 wanders out from a rock at point blank in front of my Centurion, put a shell into his turret with APDS, take out the gunner and damage the gun, he wiggles around, I fire 4 more shells into him, 3 do zero damage pens, one bounces point blank off his turret, he repairs and kills me in 1. I think the last game is a prime example. Had 15 games with the Tortoise and gave up, utterly awful (worst tank I've ever played) tank. I was using the FV 221 Caernarvon, the FV2402 and the Centurion 3, always (always) getting up tiered and was proving to be very costly, often losing 20k a game so I rolled back to the Centurion 1, Charioteer Mk VII, the Challenger (or Ratel 90 depending on the game). The only mediocre/bad one would be the tortoise, fv4005 and ratel90 which is now at 6.3 so it's not even that bad anymore. I've had no issue at all with any of the rank 4 or even 5 British tanks. Last 2 RB games have been US/British vs Russian and German, both games were 1 sided annihilations that were over in the first 9 minutes.īig l2p issue. There's a massive reason why less than 10% of the server is British yet the vast majority and Soviet and German, these tanks really do underperform. The Grind is also exceptionally painful:( They just lack the balance of Soviet and German tanks, good gun, excellent shells and good armor. That's hard at long range with no weapon optics, even like my last game when it took 6 hits to kill a disabled Panther. The British guns have good penetration power but rarely (very rarely) 1 hit kill, yet both the Russian and German tanks easily blow the turret off the British tanks in 1 hit at any range. Both outclass the Centurion, Caernarvon and the comically (utterly) useless Tortoise. The most numerous opponents are the IS3's and Tigers 2's. It's become a chore to enjoy them more than a fun game. These tanks don't 'suck' but they are inferior to the most played nations. Just highlight your keyframes in the timeline, right-click, and select “Keyframe Interpolation.” You will see a popup box, and one of the indicators will read “Spacial Interpolation.” In the drop down box next to “Spatial Interpolation” you will see that the default is “Continuous Bezier.” All you need to do is change this selection to read “Linear.” Click “Okay”, and now the animation should be moving smoothly across the screen.įor more information on troubleshooting this problem, check out this video tutorial by Greyscale Gorilla!Īccess the best video tips, design hacks, and deals straight to your inbox. This may be one of the most common mistakes beginning animators make in AE, but luckily it’s pretty easy to fix. Okay, seriously now-why is that keyframe doing a little dance in the middle of the screen? All you want is for it to move smoothly from one side of the screen to the other, with a little pause in the middle, right? What’s up with with the wibble-wobble thing? (We know, that was a lot of “comps.”) Mistake #2: Wibbly-Wobbly Keyframes So while the pre-comp may be set to the proper length, if the layer turns off in the pre-comp, it will turn off in the main comp as well. Sometimes, new users don’t realize that they need to set the layer to the full length of the comp, which can make the layer “disappear.” This is especially common when using pre-comps, because the behavior of a pre-comp inside of a comp will effect the main comp. You see, your AE timeline reads from left to right, and as you know each layer can be set to turn on or off anywhere in the timeline. Usually it’s just a rogue keyframe to blame-you may have accidentally set the size or opacity to zero, or-more likely-the layer endpoint is coming up before the end of the comp. If your layers keep disappearing, a few things could be at play. Mistake #1: The Case of the Disappearing Layers To help you avoid these pesky problems, we’ve compiled a list of the ten biggest and most common AE mistakes out there-and how to avoid them. You’re happily animating away, minding your own business, when suddenly-bam! You get hit with a weird error message, or your layer disappears…and why isn’t the mask tool working anyway? After Effects can be a complicated program, and while customizable After Effects templates and internet tutorials can help anyone get the ball rolling, there are still a few ins and outs that can elude even advanced animators and FX artists. At least some of those factors should be taken into account when reaching conclusions about whether one's body temperature is normal. What is "normal" depends on various factors, both objective and subjective. It is important to realize however that the 37 Celsius (or 98.6 Fahrenheit) value is essentially an averaged benchmark. For the Fahrenheit folks, you may know it as 98.6 ☏ (as you can easily verify using our online converter). Indeed, a normal body temperature of a healthy person is in the vicinity of 37 degrees Celsius, which makes this value so special and important. If you are used to the Celsius scale, you recognize it immediately. However, the Fahrenheit scale is still used as the official temperature scale in a number of countries, including the United States (as well as its unincorporated territories), the Bahamas, Belize, the Cayman Islands, and a few others.37 Celsius: Body temperature measurement and unit conversions Body temperature in different unitsģ7 ☌ is a value that one encounters probably more often than any other temperature reading. Today, most countries around the world use the Celsius temperature scale instead, many having made the change during their metrication processes (conversion to using the metric system of units). Later, when using the freezing and boiling points of water as fixed reference points for thermometers became popular, the scale was slightly re-defined such that there would be 180 degrees separating freezing and boiling point, resulting in normal human body temperature being approximately 98☏, rather than Fahrenheit's 96☏.Ĭurrent use: Until the 1960's the Fahrenheit scale was the primary scale used in English-speaking countries. He chose these values to simplify the degree markings he could make on his instruments, since this difference between the temperatures allowed him to mark degree lines by bisecting the interval six times. He later adjusted the scale such that the melting point of ice was 32☏ and body temperature was 96☏. He initially based the scale on an equal ice-salt mixture, selecting the values of 30☏ for the freezing point of water, and 90☏ for normal body temperature. History/Origin: The Fahrenheit scale was developed based on a measurement proposed in 1724 by the German physicist Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit. The interval between the freezing and boiling point is divided into 180 equal parts. It is currently defined by two fixed points: the temperature at which water freezes, 32☏, and the boiling point of water, 212☏, both at sea level and standard atmospheric pressure. Fahrenheitĭefinition: The Fahrenheit (symbol: ☏) is a unit of temperature that was widely used prior to metrication. Even in countries like the United States however, Celsius is widely used within the scientific community-it just is not widely used in everyday temperature references. Almost all countries around the world use this scale, except for those in which the metric system has not been adopted, such as the United States. This is the definition that was used up until 2019, when the kelvin was redefined based on the definitions of the second, meter, and kilogram.Ĭurrent use: The Celsius scale replaced the Fahrenheit scale in most countries in the mid to late 20 th century. In 1954, the unit, "degree Celsius," as well as the Celsius scale were again re-defined to instead be based on absolute zero (-273.15 ☌) and the triple point of VSMOW (specially purified water). Celsius as a unit and a scale was not widely used until this original definition was inverted. This was not always the case, and originally 0☌ was defined as the boiling point of water and 100☌ was defined as the melting point of snow. History/origin: From 1743 until 1954, the Celsius scale was based on 0☌ for the freezing point of water and 100 ☌ for the boiling point of water, both at a pressure of one standard atmosphere, using mercury as the working material. The kilogram, meter, and second, are defined based on Planck's constant, h, the speed of light, c, and cesium frequency, Δ νCs. The kelvin (and thus Celsius) is defined based on the Boltzmann constant, k, which equals 1.380649 × 10 -23 when expressed in the unit J The Celsius and Kelvin scales are precisely related, with a one-degree change in Celsius being equal to a one degree-change in kelvin. It is defined based on the SI unit of temperature, the kelvin. Definition: The Celsius (symbol: ☌) is an SI (International System of Units) derived unit of temperature. I didn't find the ride quality between the 20" wheels on the e-tron GT to be that much more different than the RS' standard 21" wheels. The air suspension really is fairly magical. The latter is a similar version to that found in the magnificent Audi RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback, capable of tilting the rear wheels in either the same or opposite direction as those at the front to improve high-speed stability and low-speed maneuverability. You also get an electronic rear differential with a multi-plate clutch, carbon-ceramic brakes with red calipers, and power steering plus with rear-wheel steering. The three-chamber air suspension system is Godsend on extended drives, helping offset any of the firmness bumps that the sizable 21" 5-twin-spoke-concave wheels might otherwise present you with. My year one Tango Red metallic RS e-tron GT tester packed all the performance features, black Audi rings, and badges expected of an RS model. At the same time, the short overhangs and gorgeous proportions are worth writing home about. His vision for quattro in form and function brings the muscular wheel arches to life, giving the e-tron GT a solid and planted stance. Where the e-tron GT truly shines is in the styling department, thanks to Audi's head of design, Marc Litche. For reference, Audi's car is marginally longer than a Taycan yet slightly narrower and taller, despite both electric cars sharing the same J1 platform. The Audi e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT are more about grand-touring performance and luxury, rather than outright acceleration. If longer range is essential, I'd be remiss if I didn't steer you toward the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS and Tesla Model S, which each offer somewhere between 400 and 500 miles of range. Depending on your driving needs, you get 238 miles on the e-tron GT and six less on the RS version from a full charge. Powering the electric motors is a 93 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with an 800-volt electrical architecture, and capable of accepting up to 270 kW of DC fast charging. Out in the real world, though, slicing through the curvaceous mountainside, it managed to offer the delicate precision of an R8. Personally, the steering felt a little lighter than I'd prefer when pushing the RS e-tron through the slalom. The two-speed gearbox mated with the electric motors feel relentless, propelling the e-tron GT with the tenacity of a land-bound rocketship. It's deadly fast and near-silent you don't quite realize just how fast you're going as your body is pressed against the 18-way RS Sport Seat+ with their handsome full-leather trim. All the same, the lift-off makes up for the difference. It's honestly incredible how straightforward it was to set up launch control: disengage the traction control, switch to Dynamic drive mode, step on the brake pedal, smash the accelerator, and then release the brake when the tach hits 100%.Īdmittingly, the sensory experience is nowhere as surreal as in, say, Audi's R8 V10 Plus: without the screaming gas engine soundtrack it's easy to feel a little underwhelmed, particularly if you're a sports car traditionalist. My personal best time was 3.09 seconds at a top speed of 124 mph. The RS e-tron GT consistently struck the 2.97 to 3.2 second range during our repeated back-to-back launch control tests, on a hot airstrip after numerous slalom runs. Going fast in a straight line is decidedly easy.
